Jennifer Lopez is known to have a huge effect on fashion and seen as a trendsetter. Here is her new video “On the Floor” featuring Pitbull. So much shimmer, sparkle and shine! A major trend for Fall / Winter 2011.
In the couch scene, she is seen wearing a gold-hued dress with sculpted halter neck and feather detail. For hair, she sports a beehive bun. For accessories, it’s sparkly gold bracelets and rings.
On the dance floor, she is seen wearing a black bra top, sleeveless mesh sweater, loose black harem-like pants, sparkly earrings and bracelets. Also, you can’t miss her dark manicured fingers.
She is also seen in a gold long-sleeve bodysuit encrusted with crystals in the video, custom-designed by Zuhair Murad. Overall, it’s a sparkle and shine themed story.
The song reminds me of a song by Kaoma, Lambada.
Listen to the song on youtube. Do you see a connection? I see many creative people going back to 70s and 80s for inspiration. I don’t see remakes as a bad thing if they are modified in some way. The remakes are usually made to fit the mood of the newer generation and their current taste in music.
