Bold makeup was all over on the Fall 2011 runways and here are some of the bold makeup trends that you could easily incorporate into your fall makeup.
Trend : Graphic Eyeliner
If you love the traditional cat eye look but looking for something edgier but not overdone, these below looks from Instyle might just be what you are looking for. They are innovative and edgy but still wearable. Lining your eyes is not a hard skill to perfect but if you think it is then you could always try the New Dior Velvet Liner Patches (watch the video below). You can try to wow the crowd with the sleek matte black cat eye or up the drama with their lavish line covered in Swarovski crystals.
Trend: Red Lips
Red lips is another major trend for fall and easy to adopt. This trend was popular on the Fall 2011 runways and some of the designers who adopted this look include Nanette Lepore, Betsey Johnson, Cynthia Steffe, Lela Rose, Diane von Furstenberg, Jil Sander, Louis Vuitton and Ralph Lauren. You could go for the orange-reds, berry-reds or the wine-reds. Pair it up with other trends such as spider lashes, vibrant colored liners, smokey eyes or metallic lids. Orange Eye
This trend was another popular trend we saw on the Fall 2011 runways. It ranged from very bright as seen on Thakoon to much more subtle and pretty as seen on Donna Karan and Rodarte. I prefer the lighter versions. Here are some pictures for inspiration.
