Pantone LLC, an X-Rite company and the global authority on color and provider of professional color standards for the design industries announced Emerald, a gorgeous and sparkling gem based color as the Color of the Year for 2013. Green is a color often associated with growth, renewal and prosperity. The precious jewel-toned emerald takes the green appeal to a more sophisticated level by adding tons of luxury and glamour factor while also enhancing our sense of well being by promoting balance and harmony. An elegant, glamorous, balanced, sophisticated and versatile color, emerald can make an impact as day wear or evening wear. According to Pantone, this color will continue to make a statement beyond spring and summer, and will flow into fall and winter.
