Treat #1: We all know that exfoliation helps to reveal a smoother, brighter and more radiant complexion by shedding dead cells and getting rid of all the unwanted flaky skin. Unlike harsh acid peels, enzyme peels gently break down the dead skin cells without the burning or irritation effects that you normally feel with acid peels. Enzymes are also high in antioxidants, vitamins etc. which further help to nourish and strengthen your skin. The best peel I have tried so far is by Sunshine Botanicals called the Pumpkin Power Peel, a winner of the “Beauty with a Conscience” and the “Best Facial Peel” awards by Natural Solutions Magazine for the year 2008 and 2009. This professional grade peel has a delicious pumpkin smell and comes with everything you need for 6 complete treatments which includes the prep cleanser, peel, an after serum and a DVD. Perfect treat for the holidays and the cold harsh winters. Check out this video below for more details.
If you want to save money here, you can buy unrefined and cold pressed grape seed, olive or coconut oil and add your favourite essential oils to the base oil such as tea tree, lavender or sandalwood to make your own nourishing oil treat.
Treat #4: Have your tried Clarisonic brushes? This is great tool to brighten and freshen up your skin. This is one machine that can give you some seriously positive and noticeable results. You can try the Mia one, which is a smaller travel version of the original.
If you don’t want to spend a lot of money then you can buy the Shiseido The Skincare Massage brush, which doesn’t have the sonic action but still provides great results.
What are your favorite skincare products for winter? Do you like making your own? Do you believe in magic potions? Skincare is a tricky concept for many but I think the simplest products usually do the trick. Have a scary awesome Halloween!! 🙂
