Before I go on with anything else, I’d like to thank my dear blogger friend Sheetal (A.K.A Heel in Mint), for this chance to write for her lovely and stylish blog. I’ve been reading it for quite a while now so when I got her message on Friday I was so excited, I couldn’t really resolve on what to write. Then, I thought I’ll just write about things that we all love… fashion and food, so here goes!
All seasons have that special connection with nature that makes us anticipate them so much. Fall is a more “in between“ season, you get that cozy feeling that makes you snuggle in a blanket with hot chocolate and a good book, or cook hearty meals for your friends, and while at the same time you want to take walks outside, in red – green parks, under the shade of grayish skies.
For me, fall also reminds me of pine forests, like the ones I used to travel around in northern Greece and the great Swiss, evergreen ones; cozy cottages in the middle of nowhere that leave you no other choice than to light a nice fire in the fireplace and literally connect with your company. You know, talk, laugh, taste, and remember all those things that our sometimes hectic everyday lives don’t let us enjoy as much. Does anyone else agree with me on this?
But here is what I crave for the most this fall:
Dark green everywhere – in plaid pants that remind me of Scottish landscapes, scarves with animal prints, and bags and flats that can take you everywhere, day or night.
What also sounds perfect is taking your favorite cookbook off the shelf, popping in some jazz (because food and jazz is perfection) and cooking something rich in flavors and texture! Add some fresh mint and cinnamon into that tomato sauce, and some ginger and brandy into the classic pumpkin pie. After all that, spread a nice table cloth, light some pine candles and pour everyone a glass of dark, red wine. Bon Appetit!
What does fall mean for you all? What do you crave for this colorful season?

A handful of pine-seed will cover mountains with the green majesty of a forest. I, too, will set my face to the wind and throw my handful of seed on high.
