1930s copper lantern, jute rope columns, 60s Brazilian rosewood chairs, custom-made lounge seating upholstered in a Rose Tarlow leather, wing chairs covered in kilims and leather, and a beige silk area rug in the living room for a naturally rich yet earthy feel.
Love the warm, earthy and herb like color palette here with a bit of blue for a serene feel. Look at all the textures and fun shapes everywhere, from walls to the furniture. Love the pendant lamps and drum ottomans.
Smith’s 25,000-square-foot adobe-style house, designed by architect Stephen Samuelson and interior designer Judith Lance, is beyond gorgeous in a very earthy and natural way which I think goes well with the actor’s laid back and down-to-earth yet cool personality. With a warm spicy palette, raw earthy textures, soft rounded shapes, intricate details and exquisite craftsmanship that blend effortlessly into the beautiful and natural surroundings around the house, the place is a haven for developing and harboring a naturally grounded and zen like spiritual personality. According to Architectural Digest, everything in the house is handmade because Will wanted to feel the love and labor that went into everything in that house. I agree with this part because when I buy handmade products from places like etsy, I feel the love and the special quality that makes me want to keep these products for life. I shop etsy a lot and absolutely love shopping there. For more information on the decor, click on the magazine link below.
What do you think of his house? Do you love adobe style architecture? Do you believe that you are where you live? Would love to hear your views.
