Fantastic Face for Fall

Do you have your favorite looks from the Fall 2012 shows?  Fall beauty trends range from dramatic and colorful to earthy and radiant. Inspired by nature or fantasy, all these looks are interesting and unique. Here are some of my favorite looks from the fall 2012 shows. Hope they inspire you to adopt some of these looks and look fabulous this season.

Smoky Safari

Blumarine, Burberry and Versace

Smoky safari brown based looks are gorgeous for fall. A very earthy palette inspired by wild life, these colors are sexy and sophisticated yet approachable. Soft matte, creamy or ultra glossy nearly nude lips complete the look perfectly to bump up the naturally fierce appeal. Chantecaille’s fall 2012 safari inspired makeup collection filled with gorgeous earthy metallic colors might be perfect for creating these above looks. Which is your favorite out of these three?

Eye for Color

Dior, Jason Wu, Roberto Cavalli, Rodarte, Akris and Donna Karan

Fall runway shows were all about statement eyes. Colors from shimmery metallic blues and greens to reds and purples made a flashy statement as liners, shadows and even as mascaras. Some of the interesting looks in this category include – Dior’s icy and electric blue eyes, Jason Wu’s metallic military eyes, Roberto Cavalli’s metallic purple- emerald “butterfly-effect” eyes, Rodarte’s burnt peach – pink eyes, Akris’s blue eyes and Donna Karan’s wine pigment eyes. Statement eye trend was also seen on Prada, Miu MiuL’Wren Scott and Prabal Gurung. Which is your favorite bright eyed look from the fall shows?

Vampy Lips

Gucci, Georges Chakra, Cacharel, Rochas, Pringle of Scotland and Nina Ricci

Intense and deep burgundy lips (oxblood) is one of the hottest trendy colors to adopt for fall. It looks great with earthy or nude eyes. This trend was seen on many shows including Gucci, Victor & Rolf, Badgley Mischka, Nina Ricci, Kenzo, Bottega Veneta, Etro and Rochas. You can also go for other brighter reds as seen on Cacharel, Michael Kors, Jean Paul Gaultier, Victoria BeckhamRuffian and Marc by Marc Jacobs shows.

Ice Princess

Chanel, Oscar De Le Renta

Frosty and icy effects is another trend spotted on the fall runway shows which might appeal to the ones who like lady-like looks. Chanel’s icy steel blue eyes with soft satiny beige pink lips and Oscar De La Renta’s pale frosty look can be easily adopted for fall. Click here to get the Oscar De Le Renta’s fall look.

Bolder Line

Lanvin, Anna Sui, Zac Posen, Moschino and 3.1 Phillip Lim

Bold graphic eyes is a trend that continues into fall. This trend was spotted on Altuzarra, Lanvin, Anna Sui, Giorgio Armani and Zac Posen shows. Moschino’s subtle version of this trend might be less intimidating to wear. Naeem Khan had a beautiful wearable version too. Colorful liners in shades of cobalt blue and red are interesting to adopt for fall. Phillip Lim’s red lined look and Anna Sui’s cobalt lined eyes are pretty interesting and unique. Which one is your favorite out of these?

Lash Out

Derek Lam, Anthony Vaccarello and Stella McCartney

Sketched out lashes was another major trend for fall but hard to adopt in real life. My favorite one out of these is the one seen on Derek Lam’s show. This is a softer version of the trend which I think is less harsh and easier to adopt. If you like the bolder versions then you can take a look at the pictures from Anthony Vaccarello’s show for inspiration. Colored mascara trend as seen on Stella McCartney’s show might be another difficult trend to adopt but is definitely eye catching. Would you try these looks?

 Weathered Cheeks

Michael Kors, Rodarte

“Out from the cold” rosy cheeks was another major trend on the fall runways. Michael Kors and Rodarte were some of the designers who adopted this trend. On Rodarte, it was more sun kissed and weathered with Australia as a source of inspiration for the look. On Michael Kors, makeup artist Dick Page used cherry red lipstick mixed with foundation on the cheeks to get that perfect winter cold induced rosy cheeks.Which one is your favorite out of these?

What are your favorite looks from the fall shows?  Would you try all the bold colorful looks you see here?  Do you like earthy or fantasy based makeup looks? Would love to read your views and comments.
