Inspiration, Tips and Favorites To Incorporate Velvet Pieces For Fall
Velvet is perfect for fall. Crisp, cool and moody weather of fall calls for rich, warm and mood-elevating fabric such as velvet in fall prints and hues.
Fall 2016 runway shows had fresh and captivating inspirations to look forward to and celebrate one of the most beautiful seasons of the year. From beautiful prints to solids, from Fendi and Phillip Lim to Monse and Valentino, here are a few inspirations from the fall runways to spark your creative side and curate a fall-worthy wardrobe –
Here are some of my favorite picks for the season –
Sunday Somewhere Valentine Convertible Round-frame Rose-gold Mirrored Sunglasses
Miu Miu Platfrom Block Heel Boot or Steve Madden Ankle Boots
Dsquared2 Velvet Sandals
Federica Moretti velvet boe Beanie
Velvet was one of the materials abundantly spotted on the Fall 2016 runways – from layered slip dresses, suits, bomber jackets, draped gowns, wrap coats, wide leg pants, jumpsuits and skirts to shoes, chokers and bags. Details such as layered ruffles, embellishments, slits and cold shoulders added a delicate and playful feminine factor to the ensembles while turtlenecks, cozy wraps, jewel tones and layered details injected a warm cozy vibe to the looks. Investing in a pair of cool platform sandals, boots, socks or may be a choker would be great way to add velvet in minor doses.
Do you like this fall trend? Which look / looks from this post did you like the most? How would you style a velvet piece this season? Would love to read your comments 😉
