I love the 60s inspired elements in this editorial such as the winged eyeliner, soft matte lips, beehive hair, the shifts, clean A line silhouettes, stand up collars, fitted pencil skirts, structured bags, floppy hats, colorful bright coats and psychedelic or geometric patterns. These elements induce such a youthful yet sophisticated feel that is very reminiscent of the 60s. I think 60’s fashion has that very modern feel that makes it so enduring, super stylish and undeniably chic. I love the colors in this editorial that range from neutrals to brights, warm punchy to jewel tones, monochromatic to color blocking and crazy 60s prints to print-less backgrounds. 60s inspired pieces were seen plenty on the Fall 2011 runways and some of the designers who induced a refreshing 60’s inspired feel to their Fall 2011 collections include Prada, Burberry Prorsum, Alberta Ferretti, Jil Sander, Victoria Beckham and Bottega Veneta. This editorial proves that you can look super stylish and ultra chic even in high necklines and low heeled shoes. Do you love this editorial? Does this editorial inspire you to include 60s inspired pieces to your fall wardrobe? Would love to hear your views.
