Mint Feature: Farfetch’s Boutique Finder Widget

A widget that finds your favorite Boutiques around the world.

Are you looking for those perfect boutiques that carry all of your favorite styles and brands? Look no further! Farfetch has a cool new Mint Feature: Boutique Finder widget that acts like a stylish match-maker, helping shoppers find boutiques around the world that stock their most favorite styles and brands.

How does the widget work? The nifty widget works by trying to find out who you are style wise and your brand preferences. It starts by prompting you to select your gender followed by a look that best describes you, product category you are looking for and your favorite brands. Based on your selections, the widget recommends a boutique that stores all of your favorite styles and brands along with a brief description of the store and its location. You can email the results to yourself or choose to shop the collection right away. There are also options to go back and change your selection or start the search all over again.

The style options range from modern classic, vintage chic, dark & directional and smart suited to bright & eye catching and street luxe. Product category includes outerwear, shoes, bags, wardrobe basics, catwalk pieces and jewelry. Brand options include the most lust-worthy brands that fashionistas crave for such as 3.1 Phillip Lim, Acne, Alexander Wang, Chloe and Helmut Lang.

Here is the widget for you to play around and get a good feel about how it works.

My search for Vintage Chic / Bags and Street Luxe / Catwalk pieces resulted in this and this (not bad, right?). The results narrow down to finding the boutiques that carry the styles and brands you are looking for but it doesn’t narrow down to products within the boutiques that highlight your choices, but this is a pretty good start. I personally love it. What do you think of the widget?  Do you like it? What additional features would you like the widget to include? And, who are you style wise? Please leave your views and comments below. 🙂

I think so too. Shopping is so hard hard these days in an information-loaded and variety-loaded times. I love widgets that can help make my life easier. This is amazing I think. Thanks for the comments and your opinion Erena xx 🙂

Thanks for the recommendation! I definitely like a tool that can search through all the sites as well. You are right – there is TOO much information sometimes and it is nice to narrow it down!

You’re welcome! I would love a tool that can search through the sites as well. It’s like having a personal stylist who can find all the right things for you without you having to spend a lot of time and energy on finding the styles or brands you like. Thanks for sharing your views. Loved reading it 🙂 xx

It is, isn’t it? I love the idea of global shopping because buyers can think so differently based on their culture and area they are buying for. Sometimes the stores you love can be in a different country.. glad there is a site like FarFetch. 🙂

It’s amazing how far shopping has come first with online shopping and now widgets like this. I think it’s great as it helps you to save time and easily narrow down your choices. I also like how it also makes the world seem smaller. Off to try it now. Thanks for the intro!

Coucou ! Bises

Agree ! Online shopping has turned out to be faster, more streamlined and efficient when it comes to shopping experience. In fact, I love shopping online more and it’s easier when you have little kids. Shopping with kids can be such a pain and a nightmare. Plus, it saves time by narrowing down your choices and it does make the world seem smaller. Hope you enjoy trying the widget out 🙂

First of all I want to say excellent blog! I had a quick question in which I’d like to ask if you don’t mind. I was interested to know how you center yourself and clear your thoughts prior to writing. I have had a hard time clearing my mind in getting my ideas out there. I truly do enjoy writing however it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes tend to be lost just trying to figure out how to begin. Any recommendations or tips? Thanks!

Hi Diva! I want you to know how much I appreciate your website! One post I haven’t seen, is one giving a run down of the parades. could you talk about them. Which park has what at what times and which you think are the ones to see. I’d also like to know which ones are more suitable to little kids (keeping their attention). Thanks for your site!
